Francesca Grilli. Searching For The Daily Miracle

Francesca Grilli, who was born in Bologna and now lives in the Netherlands has developed her research on the human figure realizing works inspired by her personal memories which are linked to her family and her daily life. Her work recently focused on the obsessive search for the daily miracle, through the manipulation of reality and adding an unexpected variable that produces a sense of familiarity that can also be shocking. As she herself explains, the daily miracle is a minimal invisible action which often transforms reality into magic, daily actions and tasks into something fabulous.... READ MORE...

DanceMe

Oliviero Ponte Di Pino. Ateatro.it: Dieci Anni Di Webmagazine

Move: Choreographing You. Art & Dance Exhibition

The exhibition Move: Choreographing You at the Hayward Gallery in London left me slightly breathless and over-excited. Curated by Stephanie Rosenthal, Chief Curator of the Hayward, Move is (yet) another participatory show at the Hayward, in that it 'invites you to become a participant -or even a dancer- in installations and sculptures by internationally renowned visual artists and choreographers.'... Francesca Fini is an image-woman: she creates (moving, static, real and synthetic) images; she is an art performer and filmmaker, interaction designer and (hyper) graphic dealing with every kind of hybridizations and contaminations. During her life she has been trying her hand at several media. Alterating Conditions

When it comes to the Bag Factory Artists' Studios and GoetheonMain in Johannesburg, South Africa, both white-washed spaces, one might want to keep in mind, that the white cube is close-knit with (post-war) western art. How might either the production spaces at the Bag Factory or the project space at GoethonMain function for the presentation of performance art, while both the artists' studio and the white cube are full of both internal (art) historical mythologies and connotations?... Gob Squad. Neverending Live Cinema

On their website, just after the welcome messages, it says: Gob Squad make performances, videos, installations and weird happenings, mixing performance, theater, film and real life. Apart from the huge variety of artistic practices mentioned, the focus rests immediately on the weird. The term, difficult to translate alludes to different meanings such as strange, eccentric or curious. Indeed, after having had the opportunity to take part in a work of the Anglo-German group, it becomes much easier to understand the reason for that adjective.... READ MORE...

Morgan Nardi. The Charm Of New Choreography

He happened to be born in an Italian provincial town, he learned to understand from an early age to love an art which is considered minor by the society and with few job opportunities. He moved on to study dance and also to meet people and have opportunities that could change his life. This happened but this was not enough if he did not want to accept the existing system, if you had to compromise and wait for years to be able to express himself completely. It was not enough to want to create, experiment, challenge and also make mistakes; it was not enough as his name is Morgan Nardi... READ MORE...
