For the first time in Europe, Maker Faire, the most important fair from the makers world, comes to Rome, curated by Massimo Banzi, Arduino founder and Riccardo Luna, based on a project organized and promoted by Asset-Camera e Tecnopolo in collaboration with Arduino and Make.

The Maker Faire is the largest exhibition in the world dedicated to the innovation, creativity and enterprise, an event for families and lovers of the “do it yourself” spirit but also the celebration of the Makers movement the Maker Faire performance is not a competition, it makes visible projects and ideas that are often born in a garage or in a kitchen table. The original Maker Faire event was held in San Mateo, CA and in 2013 celebrated its eighth annual show with some 900 makers and 120,000 people in attendance. World Maker Faire New York, the other flagship event, has grown in three years to 500+ makers and 55,000 attendees. Detroit, Kansas City, Newcastle (UK),Rome, and Tokyo are the home of “featured” 2013 Maker Faires (200+ makers), and community-driven, independently organized Mini Maker Faires are now being produced around the United States and the world.
