Seventh edition of the international art and music festival dedicated to adventurous, pioneering and unrestricted creativity for an unknown future.
The Hague / Brussels – The International ambitions and collaborations of the TodaysArt Festival have resulted in the first Belgian edition of the festival. TodaysArt.BE will take over the EuroStation / Zuid Station – one of the city’s emblematic sites – from 29 September to 1 October, precisely one week after TodaysArt.NL in The Hague. TodaysArt uses and transforms the city’s infrastructure and creates temporary spaces to produce events in exciting settings, such as main squares, public buildings, museums, concert halls, clubs and theatres.
The line-up for both TodaysArt.NL and TodaysArt.BE is nearly complete and is available on the festival websites.
Leap Into The Void
Backed up and inspired by creativity we are taking a leap into the void. The future is unknown and seems unstable, but TodaysArt believes in the decisiveness of the arts and cultural sector and the creativity of society. Whatever happens, TodaysArt wishes to keep taking the public along for a ride into new territories and to continue exploring tools for an unknown future. To celebrate the unfamiliar, and to feast upon each other’s imagination. Inspired and supported by artists and public, TodaysArt takes the visitors on a journey through the most exciting developments in contemporary performing and visual arts. This year, there are many special and unique works and performances at the festival, with over 150 artists from home and abroad participating.
Programme
TodaysArt will have day and evening programs filled with concerts, performances and exhibitions at various inside locations, large-scale installations and interventions in outside public spaces, electronic music concerts and related audiovisual art, an exchange program with lectures, workshops and other educational projects, and a periphery program organized in collaboration with local cultural partners.
