LAb[au] and Dexia invite:

Olaf Bender, Holger Lippmann, Limiteazero to design a visual artwork for the Dexia Tower

Frank Bretschneider, Balanescu Quartet for audio-luminescent performances with LAb[au], translating sound to light on the Dexia Tower

 

Organised in the context of Nuit Blanche 2007, spectr|a|um offers a night with audiovisual performances and visual art on the 145 m high Dexia Tower, from which 4200 windows will be enlightened by internationally renowned musicians and artists, taking place on Place Rogier’s urban lounge and Dexia Tower.

Frank Bretschneider works as a musician, composer and video artist in Berlin. His work is known for precise sound placement, complex, interwoven rhythm structures and its minimal, flowing approach ( more )

Since its formation in 1987, the Balanescu Quartet has acquired a reputation as one of the leading contemporary music groups in the world today. Its guiding force has been the Rumanian virtuoso violinist, and composer Alexander Balanescu, who has lead the quartet across musical frontiers into new unchartered territory ( more )

Limiteazero is an architecture, media design and media art duo, based in Milan, Italy. Founded in 1998 by architect/media designer Paolo Rigamonti, together with electronic musician/media designer Silvio Mondino, Limiteazero’s work is focused on the relation between new technologies, space and environment, designing installations, interactive furniture, reactive environments aiming to bridge the physical and the digital ( more )
