MIRA Lab, held from today November 14th to November 16th in Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), completes the programme with 10 more artists and developers of live visuals: Ewelina Aleksandrowicz i Andrzej Wojta (Pussykrew), Luca Carrubba (Esterotips), Fausto Morales (Slidemedia Lab), Alex Posada (MID), Jaume Sánchez (Clicktorelease), Juan Coll (Mediaflow), Oriol Pastor (Telenoika), Daniel Gonzalez and Luis Sanz. In total, more than 25 experts, between artists, developers and collectives from Spain and abroad, specialized in technology and real time visuals.
The programme of MIRA Lab includes Philippe Chaurand (creator of Millumin software), Yannick Jacquet (artist of AntiVJ label), Miguel Espada and Juan Santacruz (Espadaysantacruz), Eloi Maduell (Playmodes), Arturo Castro (OpenFrameworks), Kike Ramirez (vjspain), Santi Vilanova (Playmodes); and collectives vjspain, SENSE, Telenoika, Dorkbot, Visual Brasil, 9ard; and the AV shows of Electronic Performers and NOBU_LAB.
MIRA Lab is an international event dedicated to the research of new ways of live performing in music and visual arts, is the new bet of MIRA 2013: empower the knowledge exchange between all agents of creative industry in an international event who promotes the face-to-face meetings, is focus on the process and propose innovative activities.
Every day, all activities are dedicated to a different topic:
– Space and projection: Thursday, November 14th
– Creative Programming: Friday, November 15th
– Interactivity: Saturday, November 16th
MIRA Lab offers three days of activities with 9 workshops for professionals and people who wants to begin in this field; screenings, 3 keynotes and 3 panel discussions; HACK space and networking area; 2 AV shows and all focused in the same objective: learn, show and share the fusion between art and technology.

MIRA Lab is integrated into MIRA, Music & Visual Arts Festival which celebrates its third edition with the aim of involving different areas of the city with one goal: transform Barcelona into the capital of Visual Arts. Research, concerts, exhibitions, installations and visual projects in three days (November 14th,15th and 16th) and three different spaces: CCCB (MIRA Lab), Fabra i Coats (MIRA) and Razzmatazz (MIRA Club).
