The M.A.D.I. / M-IA is a post graduated Master program proposes to provide students holding degrees in the arts, theatre and architecture with the digital and technological tools.

Architecture studios, just as those of artists and theatres, are all multi-disciplinary operations requiring professional figures with ample and up-to-date preparation in using the most advanced technologies. Software and its practical application along with a knowledge of digital technologies, as taught through a “learning by doing” method, have the purpose of developing a set of tools that can be used in different fields of the arts and architecture.

Coding with Arduino, 3D modeling and Parametric modeling, Rendering with Felix, V-Ray and Corona, but also animation, interactivity, robotics immersive installations or video projection mapping.

DIGITAL ARCHITECTURE (MADI)

This curriculum has the purpose of providing graduate students of architecture and professionals an enhanced knowledge regarding the use of IT instruments.

The formation of architects must increasingly include the knowledge and experience of computer aided design programs. The spectrum of digital instruments is ample, reaching beyond the single disciplines (illustration, representation, project-design) and influences the profession in its entirety.

INTERACTIVE ARTS (M-IA)

This specialization aims to provide students holding degrees in the arts, theatre and architecture with the digital and technological tools for working project designs and the realization of multimedia and interactive environments for different settings: arts installations, museum and theatre set-ups, stage-sets and performance events. Software and its practical application along with a knowledge of digital technologies, as taught through a “learning by doing” method, have the purpose of developing a set of tools that can be used in different fields of the arts.

Courses are held during the months of January through July. Specific dates will be provided as soon as possible. Classes are held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, on Fridays and Saturdays. Enrollment is limited to 25 students per specialization. Lessons are held 65% in Italian and 35% in English.

Some modules are entirely held in English.
