The fourth edition of LookAt Festival / festival of video-installations and electronic music / this year will be hosted in the prestigious premises of the Fondazione Ragghianti, in Lucca, Italy.
The vernissage of the exhibition, which will be attended by the artists, will take place on Saturday 15 May at 6pm.
The exhibition will be open until Sunday, 30 May. Giacomo Verde (techno-artist, media-activist, video-maker), will open the event with a live launch of his installation.
ImmaginAzioni is the title of this edition that will host installations by some of the most important Italian artists such as: Mario Canali, Dn@, Theo Eshetu, Giulia Gerace e Tiziana Bertoncini, Marcantonio Lunardi, Lorenzo Pizzanelli e Fariba Ferdosi, Marco Pucci, Sara Rossi, Giacomo Verde.
Imaginaries (creative, metaphorical, kaleidoscopic, realistic) and actions (generative, interactive, dialectic) are determinant factors in the creation of these videoinstallations. They also invite the spectator to partecipate, at times interactively, at other times more imaginatively, intimately, or in a speculative way.
It will be up to the spectator to chose a path at the beginning of the exhibition, between imagination and action, according to their drive.
The installations touch the boundaries of arts and mass media languages, opening dialogues with painting, sculpture and performing art, turning to creative electronic art, then exploring real worlds recorded by the videophone and virtual realities.
LookAt Festival is a production Associazione LookAt, in cooperation with Fondazione Ragghianti and with the support of Provincia di Lucca.
The exhibition is curated by Elena Marcheschi under the artistic direction of Fabio Bertini.
