Drawing inspiration from the definition of memory, intended as the function of maintaining memories, from the mnemonic techniques that Marcus Tullius Cicero wrote of in “On the Orator” and some reflections of Bruno Munari on the imagination and its connection with the outside world, the project is intended as a reflection about the idea of the individual and collective imaginary – meaning a collection of images (mental) – and the phenomenology of its creation. Secondly it will investigate the relationship between the vision as a physical phenomena and the its perception throught mental structures evocked by personal culture and experiences.
Opening: Thursady 4th October 2012, h 5 pm

The works on display were inspired by intimate historical research of complex and ambiguous family relations, elaborated by the artists to attain more farsighted reflections of a collective interest. The show then highlights contrasts between the confines of the private sphere and a public dimension, attempting to explore the hidden aspects of the Ego for a more profound penetration of the self and reality.
Opening: Thursady 4 October 2012, h 7 pm.
To complement the exhibit, the Cinema Sarti in Faenza will project the film Passing Through / Torn Formation by Philip Hoffman.
