Presenting the first edition of the award that builds a connection between art and technology, created byCinello. The three award categories: Artist, Journalist, Project, plus a study award.
Cinello, a company with the idea of creating a new digital universe for works of art, presents Cinello Unlimited, an award that aims to highlight the best talents in the artistic and cultural fields that are able to build connections with the world of digital technology. The award aims to bring concrete recognition and draw attention on the topic, while at the same time becoming an ambassador of the vision that inspired the creation of the company Cinello itself.
Thanks to the experience of its founders John Blem and Franco Losi in the field of information technology applied to the enhancement, promotion and protection of cultural and artistic heritage, Cinello produces unique and uncopiable objects: DAW® (Digital Artwork), digital multiples of masterpieces of art history,produced in limited series, authenticated, numbered, certified by partner museums, and protected by a patented digital encryption system. By combining the passion for artistic heritage with highly advancedtechnological know-how, Cinello has created an unprecedented way of being original, giving life to a new uniqueness connected to great masterpieces.
The annual award Cinello Unlimited was created to recognize digital excellence, awarding a cash prize to the winners of three categories – Artist, Journalist and Project – chosen from the participants who have been able to interpret in the best way the evolution and implications that technological advancement brings to creative and cultural sector.
The proposing committee will indicate by December 2020 the applications for each of the three categories:Artist, for the most interesting project made of presented in digital environment in 2020; Journalist, for the best popular article in the field of art, culture and digital innovation, written and published in 2020 entirely or additionally on a digital platform (website, app, social channels) and Project, for the best digital campaign/project in the field of art and culture.
The jury, selected from top professionals in digital and cultural sectors, will be chaired by Franco Losi andcomposed of Francesca Bortolotto Possati, entrepreneur; Elio, musician; Paola. C. Manfredi, PCM Studio; Paola Manfrin, creative director; Walter Mariotti, Domus editorial director; Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, entrepreneur; Ottavio Nava, CEO We Are Social; Clarice Pecori Giraldi, Art Advisor; Lorenzo Perini Natali, collector; Gea Politi and Cristiano Seganfreddo, editors.
The Award also has an Honorary committee with a steering function, chaired by John Blem and composed of Sabina Bellli, CEO Pomellato; Mario Cristiani, gallerist; Umberta Gnutti Beretta, entrepreneur; ElianoLodesani, President of Intesa Sanpaolo Agents4you; Sara Sozzani Maino, Vogue Italia & Vogue Talents.
The winners of the three categories will be awarded a cash prize worth € 2,500. The awards ceremony will be held in Milan in February. On the event, a study award will be granted by Save the Artistic Heritage Association to a selected university student.
