From April 6 to 8, OFFF festival lands at the Barcelona Design Museum after having traveled through different cities in Belgium, Mexico, the United States, Russia, exporting the local creative talent. Names like Domestic Date streamers, FolchStudio, Ivan Bravo, Imascono will be the protagonists of an edition loaded with local talent. The bet of the 2017 edition is to reinforce the local community and connect it with the most influential international figures, thanks to the collaboration of the Blanc Festival, Mucho Studio and the design events organized by Play Restart.

The event has become the showcase for the new image, the new aesthetics, and the most avant-garde trends in the fields of design, music, photography, advertising, cinema, and publishing. Three days of creative immersion, more than sixty lectures by the most influential local and international designers. Three stages: Roots, Open Room, and the novelty of a third scenario “AND …”, a space where the most relevant figures of our country will be presented.

This year the festival has set itself the challenge of expanding the national creative community and connect it with the network of international artists. This has been achieved with the collaboration of Festival Blanc, which curated the program of one entire day, the fellows of the Barcelona Studio Mucho with the Why Talks and Play Restart the design events that take place in Madrid. For the first time a festival invites other festivals to participate actively in programming, a way to draw synergies to grow the creative community and position it as a reference to the global community of invited artists.


In this regard it is important to highlight the leading designers and artists involved, such as: Michelle Dougherty designer creator of renowned works such as the titles of the current series of Netflix Stranger Things, or HBO’s Vynil, directed by Mick Jagger; Vaughan Oliver, one of the most innovative and prolific album cover designers of the last thirty years – renown for having illustrated covers of bands such as Pixies, for which he has won two Grammys for best album cover; Anne Atkins, who specializes in graphic design for film productions; she is the creator of graphic pieces like props of Wes Anderson’s creative universe in Gran Hotel Budapest, the old documents of the legendary Titanic, has worked in the last film of Spielberg’s Bridge of spies, and Lance Wyman, graphic designer of the well-known logo of the Olympic Games of Mexico 1968 among other key artists.

Domestic Date streamers is a startup in Barcelona dedicated to investigate new formats in data communication. They have completed projects in more than 14 countries for museums, institutions and organizations such as California Academy of Sciences, Qatar Foundation, UNICEF, and Spotify. They have also been awarded several prizes, such as the City of Barcelona Prize 2015 among others.

Ivan Bravo is an illustrator, designer and creative director seeking to find the intimate relationship between the images and the viewer, often lending a humorous, playful edge to his work. He is the author of works such as the illustrations of Catalan monuments in the Coca-Cola cans, the graphic identity of the Creactivity workshops space of CosmoCaixa Centre or the video for the campaign of the candidacy of Jaume Collboni to the mayor of Barcelona.


Imascono is an Aragonese agency specialized in the creation of projects of Augmented Reality, virtual, Game apps and interactive spaces for brands. Recently they have participated in the creation of the application of Augmented Reality “Your Tale in the Kitchen” promoted by Ferran Adrià, Diseño and Telefónica.

Atipus is a graphic design studio based in Barcelona, work in various fields and sectors specializing in corporate identity, packaging and web design. They believe in conceptual design, simple and creative. Its main clients are the City Council of Barcelona, Barcelona Activa, CCCB, Autonomous University among many others.
