On Galleria Poggiali’s website
04 / 04 / 2020 – 09 / 05 / 2020

Enzo Cucchi, Luigi Ghirri, Goldschmied & Chiari, Manfredi Beninati, Claudio Parmiggiani, Grazia Toderi and many others make up the 19 artists involved in the online project EMBODIED THOUGHT showcased on the website and the Instagram profile of the Galleria Poggiali.

One image a day for a month, from 4 April to 9 May 2020, to give shape to the surprising new reality of contemporary human life.

Drawing inspiration from the thought of the French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty, who considered the role of perception fundamental to the construction of language, science and the arts, EMBODIED THOUGHT seeks to offer the public a reading of our ‘new present’ and of the significant value that our perceptions now assume in a condition of enforced isolation.

In this time of necessary suspension of activities, the Galleria Poggiali does not intend to stop, and with this digital project wants to offer its public an opportunity for reflection and insight: an itinerary through the images of the artists with which it has established, over the years, a relationship made up of dialogue, exchange of experiences and lessons and reciprocal growth.

EMBODIED THOUGHT provides an occasion for rereading the experiences of the past and an analysis of the events of the present, so as to look to the future with enthusiasm and curiosity.

EMBODIED THOUGHT continues in the direction already undertaken by the Galleria Poggiali for the digitisation and implementation of its online channels, starting with the opening of the MEDIA page of its website hosting the archive of multimedia contents related to the exhibitions.

The artists: Manfredi Beninati, Slater Bradley, Enzo Cucchi, Zhivago Duncan, Marco Fantini, Giovanni Frangi, Luigi Ghirri, Goldschmied & Chiari, J&Peg, John Isaacs, Thomas Kovachevich, Eliseo Mattiacci, Youssef Nabil, Luca Pignatelli, Claudio Parmiggiani, Roberto Barni, Grazia Toderi, Fabio Viale and Gilberto Zorio.
